Larry Coryell
While we perceive him to be one of the inventors of jazz-rock fusion-a style he was first associated in 1966 upon founding the group the Free Spirits-the musical universe of the great Texan guitarist Larry Coryell extends well beyond the genre. Small wonder we've heard this genuine legend alongside Gary Burton, Al Di Meola, Paco de Lucía and John McLaughlin as well as taking on the repertoires of Stravinski and Ravel. Welcome back this electrifying player, an artist in constant evolution, who hasn't treated us to a solo performance since 2002.
